Butler and Pablo

Butler and Pablo

Since Jemma posted about our new dog, I thought I would share how we got Pablo.

The end of July 2008, I was in need of some mop pads, because we had company coming and I needed to mop the floors.  We stopped at Target and they didn’t have any, so we went across the street to Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market.  Someone was giving away Chihuahua puppies.  Bill and Jemma snuck over to look at them.  Then the boys had to see the puppies.  The next thing I know I had 4 people looking at me with begging eyes.  I caved.  He’s been part of our family ever since.  He even had to go to WI for Christmas, since my normal dogsitters couldn’t watch him.  He was less than impressed with the -17 degrees F for temps and snow.

I know, some of you that know our Sheltie Butler are wondering how I could get another dog since Butler is perfect.  I guess I was hoping that Butler would rub off on a new dog.  Since Chihuahua’s are very possessive he will never be as great of  a dog as Butler.

So, in the mean time I have to put up with puppy behaviors, accidents in the house and chewing.

I’m impressed that you can handle TWO dogs. I don’t think we could handle one very well. I think Shawn and I have decided that we’re just not dog people. It’s not because of Knox, Lee’s dog, it’s pretty much been since we had Isaac. We realized that we’re not really coordinated enough to have two little kids and any dog. So if you can do it with three kids, I’m really impressed.
