Adding on to his name tag
Bill was recognized tonight at the Edmond Public School Board Meeting for passing his National Board Certification. We knew before Christmas that he had passed. I’m very proud of him for the hard work he put in to complete it.
When he originally started the process to become National Board Certified, they were giving the teacher an extra $5000 per year, for 10 years, for passing. As of right now the state of OK is not funding this program at all. We have hopes that they will change their minds and find funding immediately. It’s a lot of work to become National Board Certified.
Congratulations! I know it is TONS of work – my sis did it, so I think she got the bonus 1 or 2 years. Can’t believe they stopped funding it!
