I can’t tell you how different he looks now that he had to shave his beard and cut his hair for the musical. The musical is Footloose and is March 6-8th. He is in the ensemble and gets to play a cop. The time setting for Footloose is 1985, when Kevin Bacon was the star.
I like this look a lot better.
On the Today Show one morning right after Christmas they had ideas of what to do with the Christmas picture cards you receive. They had a bulletin board decorated that you just put the pictures on not the greetings. So I found an unused frame here at home, strung 3 rows of thin twine, and bought small clothes pins at Hobby Lobby to pin up the pictures. We can enjoy seeing our Christmas Card friends all year long.
I had an extra frame so I decided to create one just for my kids pictures. Now I just need to fill it up.
This is a pillow I recently made for one of Jemma’s friends. It was her birthday and she recently got a room makeover, so these are her new colors. I’m kind of afraid not to make something homemade for their birthdays, in case they are expecting it.
This is the start of a pillow my mom and I made for my grandma for Christmas. We didn’t get a picture of the finished pillow. It is the inspiration for the one above.
These are the shirts I made for my niece and nephew for Christmas. I usually make Christmas shirts, but didn’t know if my sister cared if I made them Christmas shirts, well she did. She put off seeing Santa, waiting for the Christmas shirts I usually make for her kids. She invited me along to see Santa after I didn’t make Christmas shirts and we waited for 2 hours to see Santa. I thought I was done waiting to see Santa.
This is the shirt I made for my niece for her birthday.
This is a shirt I made for Jemma over the break.
A couple of weeks ago, Jemma want to make a pair of yellow fleece pajama pants. She made them in about 2 hours on a Friday night. She had already made a pair of monkey flannel pants in her Family and Consumer Science class this fall. She didn’t need much help from me .
A friend of Jemma’s gave her this lamp. The only problem was that something had broken off towards the bottom, so there was some funny plastic things around the bottom. Jemma had a great idea of glueing ribbon around the bottom to hide the broken plastic part. It turned out really cute.
She also made this pencil holder over break with a canning jar, newspaper and ribbon.
