He’s Back!

Will got home from the National Boy Scout Jamboree last night. He had a great time, was very tired, a little dirty and stinky.  The leaders had warned us about the stinky part.  They were camping after all.  He did so much walking that he lost 8 pounds!

Patch and pin trading are a big thing at Jambo.  Here is Will’s collection.  His favorites are a Darth Vader patch, a guitar that plays music, and one that has a wolf howling.  You won’t see the Darth Vader patch since I took the picture with another patch over it.

He said he didn’t take that many pictures, so I guess he wasn’t thinking about his mother’s blog.  After he got back Justin said he didn’t want to leave Will’s side since he’ld been gone for 2 weeks.  We’ll see how long that lasts.

His foot locker and duffle bag will be back in Oklahoma on Sat.  The leaders suggested opening it in the garage.  Yikes!

Eat, Eat, Shop and Eat some more

I went to Dallas on Thursday for “moms weekend away” with my friends and returned late, late Sat. night.

On our way we stopped and had fried pies in Davis, OK.  I had never had fried pies, they were very good.

Our hotel had a free hot breakfast.  You could make your own Texas waffles.  Has anyone ever seen an Oklahoma waffle?

We also ate at the Cheesecake Factory on the day they were selling their cheesecake for 1/2 price, The Melting Pot, and several other yummy places.  We found the cheap theater and went to two different movies.  We also did plenty of shopping.  I forgot to take a picture with my friends, so I can’t even prove who went with me, or share who is about to celebrate their 40th birthday.

I bought a long sleeve shirt for Justin for $.99, after I explained to him what it looked like he said way to dig deep mom.  Bill thought he was complimenting me on finding something so cheap, but I think he might have been making fun of me.  Justin got home from boy scout camp about noon on Sat.

It was nice to have one last hurrah before I go back to work on Tues.  Yes, school starting is just around the corner.
