I don’t really care to watch baseball on TV but I love going to the Bricktown Ballpark in OKC. Some friends gave us their tickets so we got to enjoy a game tonight. Thank you friends.
We sat in the first row right behind the plate. The seats were great!
Here is my family enjoying the game.
This was Bill’s Halloween costume in 2005. He only got 2nd place at school. He was really disappointed because he lost to a witch. Some say she was even dressed up. I even dyed his hair for this. I’d never dyed anyone’s hair before I did Bill’s.
The end of March Will went to the Medival Fair in Norman, OK on a field trip with his enrichment class. Bill went as a chaperone, so I sent the camera along. This is Will jousting. He won.
Here he is looking at Medival weaponary.
Here he is bungee jumping. He had lots of fun.
The first part of April, Justin and Jemma got to enjoy some exotic animals at school because they accomplished their Accelerated Reading goal.
Justin is petting a lizard.
This is a ring tail lemur.
This is Jemma’s class. I got there just after they got done seeing the animals.
There was also this huge boa constricter, but I had to leave while he was out of his cage.
Thursday, April 9 was a bad day for OK in that we had lots of wild fires. There were about 100 homes near Choctaw, OK that burned that day. We went to Dallas on April 10 for LTC. This is a fire we saw near Davis, OK.
This is some of the damage we saw along I-35.
This is the Red River between OK and Texas.
This is the Oklahoma sign as you return from Texas.
1 medium onion, diced
3 chicken breasts, diced
2 tablespoons evoo (for those you who don’t watch Food Network that is extra virgin olive oil)
6 tablespoons graham flour (this is whole wheat flour finely ground, found at Wal-Mart or Homeland)
2 cups of milk
1 to 1 1/2 cups of salsa
1 1/2 cups chopped carrots
1 1/2 cups chopped broccoli
1 1/2 cups chopped cauliflower
Saute onion in evoo, then add chicken, and cook thoroughly. Add flour, milk, and salsa to make the sauce. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and continue stirring until thick. Then add veggies. Cook until veggies are slightly tender. Serve over rice.
Bill made this recipe up and the kids loved it. It’s a keeper. Copyright is pending.
This picture does not do it justice.
We had a few house guests the end of March. Three to be exact. So things were kind of hectic around here for 10 days.
The kids loved having my sister’s dogs here while she was on a cruise with her husband.
Then I tried to take a picture of all 5 dogs. That was very challenging.
Here is pictures from LTC in Dallas this weekend.
Justin’s drama team received a gold.
Justin’s chorus received a gold. They also performed Sunday morning before the church service. Only 3 choruses were asked to sing, so it is an honor to be asked. They sang for about 2,000 people.
Justin’s puppet team received a gold for their puppet show.
Will’s puppet team received a gold for their puppet show. As I was putting this post together I realized I had only taken picture of one of Will’s events. I missed his song leading because Justin’s puppet show was going on almost at the same time. Bill did video tape it. I missed his drama because I took Justin, Jemma and a friend swimming. Bill forgot to take the cameras when he saw Will’s drama. His drama got a gold and he got a gold for his song leading. I feel really bad about not getting more pictures of Will.
Justin got a silver for his song leading. Both boys did bible bowl. Will got a bronze. He said it was really hard. I’m proud of both of them for working so hard in all their events.
As soon as we got to Dallas, Will got out of the van he said it would be different this time without Ben and Kelly.
The Capital Hill drama team also got to perform Sunday morning before church services. Only 3 drama teams are asked to perform, so it was an honor for them also. Capital Hill is an inter city church in OKC that Memorial Rd. sponsors.
Bill did get a picture of Will being goofy.
