The first week in June, Bill, Justin, and Jemma went to Wichita KS, to participate in work camp.
Bill and Jemma were on the same team
They painted over the graffitti all over the city.
Justin was assigned to another group, but was also painting over graffitti.
Bill got to work with both of our kids.
Bill and Justin had birthdays over break. Justin turned 16. I just realized I didn’t get a picture of him blowing out the candles. Ugh!
I got a picture of the cake. I saw this idea on Pinterest. It’s just white cake, divided three ways, then add in different food coloring to get the different colors in the layers. You could make more layers.
I made a Buckeye cake for Bill. Chocolate, peanut butter, and brownies.
No I don’t have a 6th grader, but the Edmond Memorial Men’s choir performed for the 6th graders. They do it every year. They sang an African folk song about taking a village to raise a child. Of course it was very good and had some fun lyrics to it. There is always a guest director for the 6th grade. This year it was the vocal music director from my school, Midwest City HS.
