Room make over
We scraped the ceiling and painted the ceiling, and walls in Jemma’s bedroom a couple weeks ago.
Her friend Hallie helped to decorate. I took them to two different thrift stores, so they could look for things they could repurpose. A few things they got at Hobby Lobby on clearance.
The round circle with a “J”, they got at the thrift store. They painted the J on it. They also repainted a couple of picture frames. A couple of them we already had, one they got at the thrift store. One of the frames they made into a chalk board.
Camp, camp, camp
I had quilt camp this week for these girls since their older siblings were at bible camp.
They finished their quilts in 6 hours over two days. I couldn’t believe how fast they were. I think it helped that we have sewn before.
I’ve been doing a quilt camp for these girls. It’s been a little harder coordinating schedules with these girls.
They made pillow cases. Next we will make pajama pants.
Ballet performance
My parents got to come and see Jemma in the ballet. My niece, Samantha, saw her first ballet. She liked the fabric on Jemma’s skirt, because she kept rubbing it.
Friends that have come to every ballet.
With Princess Aurora.
The white doublet is the last one I made. This is the only picture I got of it.
Work Camp
The first week in June, Bill, Justin, and Jemma went to Wichita KS, to participate in work camp.
Bill and Jemma were on the same team
They painted over the graffitti all over the city.
Justin was assigned to another group, but was also painting over graffitti.
Bill got to work with both of our kids.
Honors Night
Before spring break, Cimarron middle school had Honors night.
She made Cimarron’s honor roll because she has had a gpa above 3.5 for two semester. She also made the honor society because her grades are in the top 10% of her class for two semester.
She works very hard to maintain her grades. I’m so proud of how hard she works.
